CBO report: Obamacare repeal to increase uninsured by 24 million

The Republican bill that will replace Obamacare will leave 14 million more uninsured Americans by 2018 and 24 million insured by 2026, according to a new report. The Congressional Budget Office released the analysis on Monday, which estimates uninsured Americans would jump from 10 to 19 percent. While fewer Americans would have health insurance, it is predicted the GOP legislation would lower the deficit by $337 billion. The report estimates that premiums would increase by 15 to 20 percent in the first year compared to the Affordable Care Act. But by 2026, premiums would be 10 percent lower on average than they are now.
