Sen. John McCain called on President Trump to provide evidence that Barack Obama wiretapped his phones or retract his statement. “I think the president has one of two choices: either retract or to provide the information that the American people deserve, because if his predecessor violated the law, President Obama violated the law, we have got a serious issue here to say the least,” McCain said on CNN's "State of the Union." While McCain said that he had no reason to believe Trump's allegations were true, he noted the president could "clear this up in a minute." The Arizona's senators comments come a week after Trump's tweets accusing Obama of wiretapping the phones at Trump Tower during the election. Trump has not backed up his claims since his tweets.
