These are experiments carried out in Dr. Jaynes Garage, utilizing a surplus capacitor from a "star wars" program, at least according to Nevada Surplus, where I mail ordered this doozy of a capacitor. If you can't tell by the video, it is 100 kV, 0.1 uF, 8 inches in diameter, and about 3 feet long. I use a 1" thick braided grounding strap to wind a 7 turn coil. The intense pulsed magnetic fields generated by this device are capable of crushing a coke pop can. If you a science enthusiast who is really in to extreme high voltage and pulsed power, this video is definitely for you. I give some pointers that may help you build your own, if you like....
