During a speech on Monday, President Trump said that "in many cases dishonest press doesn't want to report" terror attacks.
On Monday, President Trump delivered an address at Florida’s MacDill Air Force Base.
A part of his speech was dedicated to discussing terrorism in both the U.S. and Europe and the assertion that, “the very, very dishonest press doesn’t want to report it.”
Though he did not substantiate the claim with factual information, Trump did note the alleged media coverup was motivated by “reasons.”
His comments on the matter began with a summary of terrorist activity that has actually received significant media attention.
Trump said, “Radical Islamic terrorists are determined to strike our homeland as they did on 9/11, as they did from Boston to Orlando to San Bernardino and all across Europe. You’ve seen what happened in Paris and Nice, all over Europe, it’s happening.”
Immediately after, he noted, “It’s gotten to a point where it’s not even being reported, and in many cases the very, very dishonest press doesn’t want to report it. They have their reasons and you understand that.”
