Kellyanne Conway: Airport Disruptions ‘A Small Price To Pay’ For Border Security

On Fox News Sunday, White House counselor Kellyanne Conway told host Chris Wallace that airport disruptions stemming from President Trump’s executive order against refugees and some immigrants were “a small price to pay” for “greater protection of our borders, of our people.”

After she told host Chris Wallace that only about one percent of the approximately 325,000 people flying Saturday into the U.S. were detained because of the order, she added, “I think in terms of the upside being greater protection of our borders, of our people, it’s a small price to pay.”
Conway later said, in part, “This is what we do to keep a nation safe…This whole idea that they're being separated and ripped from their families, it's temporary and it’s just circumstantial...as opposed to the over 3,000 children who will be forever more separated from the parents who perished on 9/11.”
President Trump has also spoken out about his order, tweeting early Sunday, “Our country needs strong borders and extreme vetting, NOW. Look what is happening all over Europe and, indeed, the world - a horrible mess!”
About two hours later, he added, “Christians in the Middle-East have been executed in large numbers. We cannot allow this horror to continue!”
Since Trump signed the ban on Friday, thousands have demonstrated at airports around the U.S., and federal judges have ruled against some of the restrictions, reports Politico.
