Donald Trump has issued a statement after the Obama administration announced a set of measures against Russia for the alleged interference in the U.S. election.

On Thursday, President Obama announced various measures his administration has decided to take against Russia in response to the alleged intervention in the U.S. election.
Following the announcement, Donald Trump issued a statement:
“It’s time for our country to move on to bigger and better things. Nevertheless, in the interest of our country and its great people, I will meet with leaders of the intelligence community next week in order to be updated on the facts of this situation."
Trump had shared his thoughts on the issue Wednesday as well. Speaking to reporters gathered outside his Florida estate, Trump said, “I think we ought to get on with our lives. I think that computers have complicated lives very greatly. The whole age of the computer has made it where nobody knows exactly what’s going on. We have speed, we have a lot of other things, but I'm not sure we have the kind of security we need.”
Explaining the measures revealed on Thursday, Obama stated, “...I have ordered a number of actions in response to the Russian government’s aggressive harassment of U.S. officials and cyber operations aimed at the U.S. election.”
He also said that their subversive, election-related activities “could only have been directed by the highest levels of the Russian government.”
As such, the president outlined consequences which include removing 35 members of Russian intelligence from the U.S. and imposing sanctions on a variety of government-related individuals and groups.
