Testing A Forge (Part 2)

I was impressed by the forge I built a friend and tested in on a piece of leave spring to see what it is capable of (Part 1). It heated the leave spring to welding temperature (1300 deg Celsius) in no time so I wanted to test it out on a Damascus billet. I stacked some 1055 high carbon steel and pieces of a file and inserted the billet in the forge. I upped the gas inflow to 75kpa and the airflow to almost 90%. It was just amazing. It heated the billet white hot in a few minutes and I forge welded the billet easily.
