Rani Mukerji's 'Mardaani' Look Unveiled

After keeping it strictly under wraps, Yash Raj Films has finally unveiled the first look of their much-anticipated film Mardaani. The makers unveiled the first poster of their raw and gritty film today. The poster shows Rani Mukerji in a black kurta sans make-up, holding a gun. Rani is seen standing near a door and there is a dead body in the backdrop. The intriguing poster has an even more interesting tagline which reads 'Every War Is Personal'. Though speculations were rife that Rani, who recently got married to YRF head honcho Aditya Chopra, may get credited as Rani Mukerji Chopra in the film, the poster credits her as Rani Mukerji only. The light-eyed actress plays the role of Shivani Shivaji Roy, an astute cop working in a Mumbai Crime Branch unit. Deft at picking up hidden clues and fearless in confronting hardened criminals, Shivani stumbles into the world of debauchery, cruel desires and exploitation and onto a case that changes her life forever. A teenage girl gets kidnapped by the child trafficking mafia and smuggled outside the city. Shivani embarks on an obsessive hunt for the girl and what follows is a cat and mouse game between a fearless cop and a ruthless mafia kingpin. Directed by Pradeep Sarkar, the film will release worldwide on 22nd August 2014.
