Kareena Kapoor To Play A Sombre And Edgy Character In 'Udta Punjab'

Ever since it was revealed that Kareena Kapoor Khan will play a Punjabi girl from Amritsar, there had been speculations that she will play a character similar to her role in Jab We Met. However, sources attached to the film refute such rumours and claim that Kareena would not be playing a chirpy character like Geet from Jab We Met in Udta Punjab. It seems that though Kareena plays a Punjabi kudi in Abhishek Chaubey's next, her character will be quite mature, somber and edgy. Apart from Kareena, Udta Punjab also stars Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
