Former astronaut Buzz Aldrin evacuated from South Pole

Buzz Aldrin, the second person to ever walk on the moon, was evacuated from the South Pole to New Zealand after experiencing an unknown medical issue. Aldrin, who visiting the region as a tourist, was reported to be in stable condition after the National Science Foundation responded to a call requesting medical assistance. Aldrin, along with Neil Armstrong and Michael Collins, were part of the Apollo 11 crew that piloted the first spaceflight that landed humans on the moon.
