On Sunday, a snake was spotted on board an AeroMexico flight headed from Torreon to Mexico City.

Remember that movie where Samuel L. Jackson and his crew battled a load of deadly snakes on a plane while passengers shrieked in fits of terror?

On Sunday, a similar, albeit less dramatic incident occurred for real.
A free-roaming snake was spotted on board an AeroMexico flight headed from Torreon to Mexico City, reports CNN.
Video posted to Twitter shows the reptile emerging from a tight, overhead space and then dropping towards the seating area.
There appears to have been a bit of commotion in the immediate vicinity, but, according to reports, passengers were "surprisingly calm."
According to the Associated Press, AeroMexico has announced that flight was given priority landing, and the snake was quickly contained.
An investigation into how it ended up on the flight is underway.
