The Ku Klux Klan's official newspaper, The Crusader, has embraced Donald Trump's campaign in the ongoing presidential elections. "America was great not because of what our forefathers did – but because of who our forefathers were. America was founded as a White Christian Republic. And as a White Christian Republic it became great," the endorsement reads. Trump's campaign issued a statement denouncing the endorsement, referring to the paper's statement as "repulsive." Ex-KKK leader David Duke has repeatedly showed support for the Republican nominee.
