NEW YORK — A 27-year-old model is being called the ‘Stingray Queen’ after sharing stunning photographs of her swimming naked with dangerous marine creatures.
According to Rava Ray’s website, she was born in Kentucky and raised in Tahiti. She learnt to swim with marine creatures in Hawaii.
Ray said she particularly enjoys swimming naked and does not believe it is an animal’s first instinct to attack human beings. She shares photos of her swimming with marine animals on Instagram.
Apart from modelling naked with marine creatures, Rava Ray also designs “wearable art” made of shells and feathers. She is currently studying fashion design in New York.
The most notorious incident involving a stingray took place in 2006. Australian “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin was swimming behind a stingray when it suddenly stabbed Irwin with its tail, hitting his heart and killing him.
