His film products in Hong Kong and Hollywood, elevated to a new level of popularity and liking the martial arts films and the interest in this type of discipline in the West. The direction and tone of his work profoundly influenced the martial arts films in Hong Kong, which, until then, had shown a theatrical sense that more realistic scenes. The martial art which he synthesized is called Jeet Kune Do.
