La serie, che racconta il lavoro di un gruppo di criminologi dell'FBI, è stata scritta con l'ausilio di un ex agente dell'agenzia, ispirandosi al ricco archivio compilato in 35 anni dai profiler americani. Questo aspetto è chiaro fin dalla sigla iniziale della serie, dove compaiono alcuni tra i serial killer statunitensi più famosi (come Charles Manson,Richard Ramirez, David Berkowitz, Theodore Kaczynski e John Wayne Gacy).
In Italia la serie è trasmessa in prima visione sul canale satellitare Fox Crime e in chiaro da Rai 2.

The series, which recounts the work of a group of FBI criminologists, was written with the help of a former agent of the agency, taking inspiration from the rich archive compiled over 35 years by the American profiler. This is clear from the opening theme of the series, where they appear some of the most famous American serial killer (as Charles Manson, Richard Ramirez, David Berkowitz, Theodore Kaczynski and John Wayne Gacy).
In Italy the series is broadcast first-run satellite channel Fox Crime and clear by Rai 2.
