The Radical Month of Black August

Today marks the start of Black August, a month dedicated to the often-overlooked Black struggles of the past as well as the current fight faced by today's Black community. Founded in the late 1970s, Black August remembers those of the Black community unjustly killed by U.S. police and the prejudiced incarceration system still in place today.
