00:00On Monday, the U.S. National Hurricane Center informed that by 9 a.m., Hurricane Milton
00:05strengthened into Category 4.
00:07Experts predicted that Hurricane Milton can potentially reach Category 5, grounded in
00:11the record warm of the Gulf of Mexico.
00:14In addition, the center forecasted that both dangerous hurricane-force winds and storm
00:18surge with damaging waves are expected across portions of the northern coast of the Yucatan
00:22Peninsula.
00:23Therefore, the Mexican government issued a hurricane warning for the Yucatan Peninsula
00:27coast from Celestun to Rio Lagartos.
00:31Meanwhile, the NHC alerted that environmental conditions will pose life-threatening risks
00:37at the west coast of the Florida Peninsula as of Tuesday evening or early Wednesday.
00:41Hence, authorities issued warnings and urged people to take precautions.
