Mark Cuban to donate $1M for Dallas police to protect LGBT community

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban will donate $1 million to the Dallas Police Department, which announced it will primarily use those funds to protect the LGBT community.
Cuban’s donation comes less than a week after a gunman killed 49 people inside the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida.
The funds will pay for about 16,000 hours of overtime for the Dallas police to help the city’s counterterrorism efforts, including increased presence in the Dallas suburb of Oak Lawn, which has a large LGBT community.
