Sing is an upcoming American computer-animated musical comedy film directed and written by Garth Jennings, and produced by Illumination Entertainment. The film stars the voices of Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Seth MacFarlane, Tori Kelly, John C. Reilly, Taron Egerton and Scarlett Johansson. Universal Pictures has scheduled it for release on December 21, 2016.
PLOT:
To save his theater from closing down, koala Buster Moon (Matthew McConaughey) holds a singing contest to raise money for it and the entire town auditions for a part in the show. The leading five are a mother pig of 25 (Reese Witherspoon), a gambling mouse (Seth MacFarlane), a guitar-playing porcupine (Scarlett Johansson), a teenage elephant (Tori Kelly), and a gorilla escaping his mafia family (Taron Egerton).
