How to clean contacts in the inlets
When inserting the cuff into an inlet and the machine does not start, this could be caused by one of three reasons:-
• It could be fault in the machine
• It could be a problem with a wire in the house
• It could be loose or clogged contacts in the inlet
The two contacts in the inlets should sit proud and be easy to see and feel. Should they not be so it is possible that they have been jammed in and clogged pre venting them from contacting the metal ring of the cuff. This can often be resolved by cleaning the area with a soft clean cloth and dampened with methylated spirits. Should this fail to free up the movement of the contact it may be necessary to remove the inlet from the wall and then completely remove the screw, the spring and the contact clean and replace.
Should the contacts be sitting prouid and thus obviously working correctly but the problem persists then best to contact our service agent via Volta Ducted Vacuums. http://www.ductedvacuums.com.au/
