UMW Toyota Motor is investing RM2 billion to build a new manufacturing plant in Bukit Raja, Klang, which will boost its capacity to 100,000 Toyota cars annually. Its Deputy Chairman Akio Takeyama said the move is part of Toyota Corp’s strategy to shift its production from volume-oriented to competitiveness-oriented.
