Trump announces Christie as transition team chairman

Donald Trump announced Monday that New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will serve as the chairman of the transition team.
Christie will oversee the team preparing to take over the White House in the fall.
““Governor Christie is an extremely knowledgeable and loyal person with the tools and resources to put together an unparalleled Transition Team” Trump said in the press release.
The New Jersey governor became the highest-profile elected official to back Trump’s presidential bid at the time when he endorsed the real estate mogul’s White House bid in late February.
