The film revolves around Kabir Ahlawat, jo Goa mein ak lonely life bita raha hai. Nobody knows much about him except for the fact that he runs a pawn shop but thanks to his droolworthy looks everybody calls him Handsome and rightly so as he is handsome and how!
Kabir sirf apni building ki ek saat saal ki ladhki Namoi se baat kartey hai jiski maa anna ek drug addict hai. Kabir lookslike a no-nosense guy however, jab Naomi aur Anna ko Goa ke drug lords kidnapkar letey hai to Kabir Ahlawat aka Rocky ka past samne aata hai.
A true patriot Kabir was once an intelligence agent, known for being a merciless and emotionless assassin. Villains ko trace karne ke liye aur Naomi ko dhundne ke liye wo apni past training ko kaise utilize kartey hai forms the rest of the plot.
John Abraham has been missing in action since quite some time but now he is back with a bang. He is perfect in his role as the brooding killing machine. John ke paas puri film kam dialogue hai aur sirf do teen expression hai but oh boy! He make up for all that with his terrific action sequences.
John looks like a double agent to the T and aur wo apne role ke liye perfect hai. I’m really happy to see him doing what he does the best. John ne is character ke liye kaafi mehnat kari, bahut training li aur wo apko screen pe dikhta hai.
The little kid Diya is sweet however, John aur unke beech wo chemistry nahi hai jo Bajrangi aur Munni ke beech mein thi. I know it’s not fair but I can’t help but compare as Salman and Harshali have set the standards really high.
Sharad Kelkar as a top cop from the Goa police dept is a delight to watch. Sharad ek behatareen actor hai and his personality shines through in every scene. Nishikant Kamat has played the antagonist in the film and he is quite decent as the menacing Kevin.
Nathalia Kaur is playing Anna aur unhone apne role ko achey se nibhaya hai. Shruti Haasan has a special appearance in the film and as her acting has never been great shakes, there’s nothing much to talk about it.
The film is based on Korean film The Man From Nowhere and its story follows the same path as the original. Film ka screenplay aur scrip ho sakta tha and it tends to slack at times. Movie kaafi predictable hai aur ye bhi iska ek major drawback hai.
However, the action of the film makes up for that, especially wo scenes jisme hum John ko hand-to-hand combat kartey huey dekhtey hai. The knife-fighting sequence will leave you awestruck as you see John killing his opponents with the same finesse like a chef slices his fish.
Nishikant Kamat ne ek decent rip-off banai hai lekin I really wish ki unhone screenplay, emotions aur film ke characters par zada dhyan dia hota.
All in all you would like this film if you love watching action dramas or are a John Abraham fan as he is looking uber hot in it. The movie is certainly a one-time watch and I will give it a rating of 3 stars.
