This should be useful: after an update yesterday, Amazon's Alexa can now be used to add events to Google Calendar by voice.
You can either prompt Alexa by saying, "Add an event to my calendar," or you can be a bit more natural and specific, saying something like, "Add family brunch to my calendar for Sunday at 10AM."
The e-commerce company announced it on Friday in its latest update for the software.
The digital assistant already managed to master some of the Google’s functions, but they were just superficial ones such as reading out loud the events, but never change or edit a thing.
The update may be the first one of many from Amazon to increase its presence on Google’s territory.
