A group of very small Mecysmaucheniid "trap-jaw" spiders studied recently may not have much on their side in size, but they do have mightier jaw power than ever imagined.

A group of very small Mecysmaucheniid "trap-jaw" spiders studied recently may not have much on their side in size, but they do have mightier jaw power than ever imagined. 
High speed video taken of 14 species shows the force with which they snap down on their prey. 
This is the first time the skill has been observed in arachnids.
