The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, or LVMPD, posted an announcement to its Facebook page, stating, “Just two months after surviving a brutal stabbing, police dog Nicky was fatally shot while attempting to subdue a murder suspect.”
According to KSNV, a man believed to be James Craig Simpson was seen randomly shooting in a neighborhood when police arrived, and gunfire was exchanged.
