REFERENCE #32:
Durood Taaj is disfavored and reciting it is not permitted. (Fazaa'il-i-Durood Shareef, pg 73 and Tazkiratur Rasheed vol. 2, pg 117).
Allamah Maulana Kaukab Noorani:
I say two things with this regard that ‘Fazaa'il e Aamaal with me is published by Maktaba Arifeen in Karachi previously named as Tableegh e Nisaab. Moreover, I tell you that I have the old version and in the new version they have omitted discarded the chapter of Darood Shareef. I have with me the older version of this book. The one that is available in the market right now does not have this chapter in the book.
The new version of this book ‘Fazaa'il e Amal’ has no portion on Darood Shareef, they have discarded this chapter totally….Why! It is written…..Although God [Allaah Ta'alaa] has made them write with their own pen As Salat o Was Salaam Ya Nabee Allaah, As Salaat o Was Salaam Ya Rasool Allaah-they have separated it now it is available in new book form both in Urdu and English versions.
Here I have with me the older version
In it there is the third Chapter where he talks about the Hadees which warn for the punishment for not reciting Darood Shareef. He writes clearly that Darood e Taj and Darood e Lakhi etc which were written by others were not liked by him meaning Rasheed Ahmad Gangohi Saahib. This Darood Taj was recited by Hazrat Abu Al Hassan Shazli [Rahmatul Laah Alaieh] in front of the Holy Prophet [Peace be upon him] and Allamah Ahmad Saeed Kazmi has written a whole book on Darood e Taj and he is saying that it was not liked by Gangohi Saahib….
Though the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) liked it but here they are saying it should not be recited because Gangohi disliked it. This is not a proper way and I am presenting his words. Same words I read in Tazkra tur Rasheediyah, on pages 117 & 280 0n both places it is written and I will show them too:
He (Gangohi) disliked Darood e Taj and and Darood e Lakhi were not likely favored by him for being written by others and he considered them against the Shariah. Same is written in Tazkra tur Rasheediyah Volume II that Darood e Taj and Darood Lakhi were not liked by Gangohi so should not be recited. You can imagine their Haal [Spritual Condition] and personality who dislikes and disfavored the reading of Darood Shareef and forbid to recite them.
