Turtles often carry around a little extra cargo in the form of hitchhiker organisms, but one recently found in Florida’s waters was hauling a much bigger load.

Biologists with the Inwater Research Group discovered the shelled animal was toting a Giant Eastern Murex on its back.

According to the rescue group, the extra weight was akin to a grown man being constantly saddled with a 20-pound backpack.

Murexes are not an uncommon sight in the area, but seeing one attached to a turtle was a first for the organization.
