00:00Boys and I've been talking it over. We're taking too much time on this southern trail.
00:04I realize all that, Doc, but Grimes says it's the safest way.
00:08Maybe so, but every extra day on the trail adds to the dangers of an immune attack.
00:13He's right, Dad. There's been talk that some of the wagons might pull out for themselves.
00:17They can't do that, but we've risked everything to make this trip to Oregon.
00:22You folks asked me to get you through and I mean to do it, but you've got to have patience.
00:25What's wrong, Mr. Benson?
00:31Some of the folks are worried, Grimes.
00:33We're more than a month behind and still no sign of Oregon.
00:36I told you before, Mr. Benson, we're traveling through dangerous countries.
00:39You've got to take it easy.
00:40But we seem to be going out of our way.
00:42Sure, to save your scouts from the Indians.
00:45Now look here, Williams.
00:47I'm wagon boss here and I know what I'm doing.
00:49Anytime you don't like my way, turn back the way you come.
01:14We've stalled long enough.
01:16Coleman gave us orders to wipe out that wagon train before it reached Prairie City.
01:20It's high time we'd started.
01:22Well, I got Benson's wagon fixed like you told me.
01:25Good. With him out of the way, the rest will be easy.
01:28I swear, Tex, times I don't think you got any more sense than a prairie dog.
01:34Well, I wouldn't go so far as to say that, rawhide.
01:37Concerned, I do say it.
01:39Family was, a good job scouting with the Army.
01:42Three squares a day, good pay and nothing to do but nothing.
01:46Now you're gone and messed it all up.
01:48What good is it going to do us to join up with this here wagon train anyhow?
01:52Well, I'll tell you, rawhide, it may not do us any good.
01:57But it may help a lot of other folks that are figuring on settling in Oregon.
