Capricho Catalan, Op 165, No 5, by, Isaac Albeniz, Arr G Kidd

Capricho Catalan, Op 165, No 5, by, Isaac Albeniz, is an exceptional piece of music by this Spanish pianist arranged for the guitar by many people. I find this to be a very romantic work and therefore my arrangement of it tries to bring this out. Firstly the pace of the music is important with lots of emotional interpretation. Too slow and it drags, too fast and loose the emotion. If you know others versions played on a guitar will notice some minor changes in my score. Some lead in notes between phrasing goes to combine sections better along with some additional harmonics. In the slow mid section I have added a church like bells quality and ended on a far more romantic finish which I hope you will enjoy. The film is of an overview of Italy and some of its glorious locations, probably too many, however, this film was also made for the new friends we made on tour. Made from 3 separate guitar recordings, I hope you enjoy the overall effect and forgive the odd editing overlaps. As ever my score is available at:- www,free-scores.com, or www.classicalguitardelcamp.com
