Shimon Peres taken to hospital

An ambulance was summoned to the home of former Israeli President Shimon Peres on Sunday evening after he complained of feeling pressure in his chest.
Peres, 92, suffered a mild heart attack 10 days ago and was taken to hospital where he underwent cardiac catheterization after complaining of chest pains.
Peres has filled nearly every position in Israeli public life since he became the director general of the Defense Ministry at the age of 25 and spearheaded the development of Israel's nuclear program.
A protégé of the country's first prime minister, David Ben-Gurion, Peres was first elected to parliament in 1959.
