Workers' strikes spread across China

In China, a wave of anger is spreading among industry workers, from the gigantic steelwork factories in the north to the textile workshops in the south. There is only one legal trade union in the country, but according to the Hong Kong-based China Labour Bulletin, there were more than 2,000 strikes recorded nationwide in 2015 - that's twice as many as the year before.
The Chinese workforce is getting more expensive, exports are slumping, and as our correspondents report, the authorities are shutting down highly polluting plants.
