McDonald's makes stylish move toward eco-friendly packaging

You aren't the only one who wants stylish new digs this season.
Starting January 2016 with its U.S. locations, McDonald's will be rolling out new eco-friendly carry-out bags, fountain drink cups and sandwich boxes to more than 36,000 outlets worldwide over the course of the year.
The company says the new designs are an effort to, "support a community where fashion is an expression," but the redesign is more than skin deep.
To celebrate the launch, McDonald's worked with The Cabrera/Bentancourt organization, which owns 20 McDonald's restaurant franchises, to create fashion accessories using the new packaging.
The blinged out hat, purses and shoes were created by Miami International University of Art & Design student Pablo Machado and recent graduate Ricardo Hardouin in a 48-hour time span.
