Meet the HoD Mass Communication & Media, Mr. Tahir J. Malik

Tahir J. Malik is an Assistant Professor, Masters (Mass Communication) from Oklahoma State University, USA and Masters (Journalism) from University of the Punjab, Lahore. Having more than 23 years of experience in fields of Education and Journalism in Pakistan, USA and UAE. He has been also contributing as a columnist in ‘The Pakistan Post’ weekly from New York, USA and dailies The Spokesman, Waqt, and Din in Pakistan. His Publications are 'Humanity Amidst Insanity' co-authored by Tridivesh Singh Maini (Indian Journalist), and Ali Malik (Pakistan Journalist) book published by UBS Delhi (India), 'Warriors after war', a collection of interviews with retired army senior officers from India and Pakistan who fought against each other, book published by Peter Lang Ltd, International Academic Publishers. England. Currently, he is working on a book: The Indo-Pak Visa Regime and People to People Contact. As an analyst, he has been frequently participating in the current affairs discussions and talk-shows on varies national TV channels: Din News, Geo TV, Dunya TV, Aaj News, News One, Waqt TV, City 42, PTV, CNBC, Abb Takk, and Star Asia. He has also given various local and international Lectures/presentations on Pakistan affairs, Pak-India connection, Muslim world and the Pakistani Media. He has been a Member of Federation of Electronic Journalists (Pakistan), EMRA (Electronic Media Reporters Welfare Association), Think-Tank (International Relations), Lahore Press Club, Punjab Union of Journalists and Pak-India Peace Initiatives. Tahir Malik visited USA, India, Canada, Bangladesh, Iran, England, Mexico, Afghanistan, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, U.A.E, and Qatar on different assignments. Currently working as Head the Mass Communication & Media Department here at GIFT University Gujranwala.
