Venezuela’s Caribbean Oil Program Praised by FAO

The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has praised Venezuela’s oil program, PetroCaribe, declaring that it has been a cornerstone in the fight against hunger in Central America and the Caribbean. The FAO said on Wednesday that the initiative has contributed to the reduction of malnutrition in the region by making fuels more easily accessible. PetroCaribe was launched in 2005 to allow member nations to purchase oil from Venezuela at preferential prices. teleSUR
