USA: Obama Favors Stiffer Background Checks for Gun Sales
  • 8 years ago
The White House announced on Thursday that President Barack Obama could issue an executive action to expand background checks on gun sales. The announcement came as victims of gun violence have converged on Congress to demand action in what they regard as a public health issue. Some Democratic lawmakers joined the families to ask that the memories of heir loved ones be honored, not with moments of silent, but with concrete action.
