The National Park Service has recently announced that a phone booth in rural Arkansas from the 1950s will be placed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The U.S. National Park Service has placed a telephone booth from 1959 on its National Register of Historic Places.
The structure is located in a rural part of Arkansas. At the time, the spot was considered especially beneficial for motorists because of its close proximity to a highway, a motel, and a state park.
It is a classic 50s-style Airlight design which means an aluminum frame, glass window panels, an interior light, and folding door.
