Shtimi i numrit te personave te prekur nga malarja ne Shqipëri, ka vene ne alarm Institutin e Shëndetit Publik, qe konfirmon 15 te infektuar. Te gjithë personat e prekur nga malarja janë infektuar jashtë territorit shqiptar, shumica ne Guinene Ekuatoriale, por kjo nuk do te thote qe nuk ka asnje rrezik për pjesën tjetër te popullatës. Ne Shqipëri ekziston Vektori, mushkonja qe përhap sëmundjen deri edhe ne përmasa epidemike. Dhe situata behet me e pasigurt, kur nuk ka asnjë mase konkrete për dezinfektimin e vatrave te njohura, por kërkohet qe çdo banor te mbrohet vete. Drejtori i Shëndetit Publik ka deklaruar se te infektuarit jane vaksinuar para se te shkonin ne vendet e prekura nga malarja, por sipas tij ata nuk kane respektuar masat profilaktike te sëmundjes. Pacientet janë ne Tirane, Vlore e Durrës, ndërsa ISHP ka marre dhjetëra mostra te familjareve dhe njerëzve te tyre te afërt për te pare nëse janë prekur nga sëmundja. Malarja rikthehet ne Shqipëri pas rreth gjysme dekade, kur ishte zhdukur qe ne kohen e sistemit komunist.
