Consulate General of Pakistan, Toronto and International Iqbal Society Invites You to a Conference to Commemorate 138th Iqbal Day.
November 9th, 2015 marks the 138th birthday of Allama Iqbal which will also be a National holiday in Pakistan. To commemorate Iqbal Day, here in Toronto, International Iqbal Society in partnership with Consulate General of Pakistan, Toronto brings to you a conference to highlight the “Socio-Political Relevance of Iqbal in the 21st Century”. To accomplish that we have planned lectures by the subject matter experts and a panel discussion in which we hope to engage the audience. Also, we have planned a poetry sitting in which we will be requesting the poets from within the community to carry Iqbal's torch forward by spreading the message of hope and solidarity in the times of despair and turbulence.
