Guy rides a huge Mola Fish in Mexico... Rodeo at the see!
They started as strangers but ended up as good friends. The mola mola was not harmed although Cliff had some barnacle burn - ouch! Make sure to watch the end. The mola was covered with parasites and I also have video of helping to scrub them off. He came back to the boat several times after this most likely using us as a cleaning station/backscratch. There are tons of these beautiful yet awkward animals in SoCal/Northern Baja waters. They eat jellyfish and are never targeted by anglers. Enjoy this bizarre symbiotic encounter! Note: Please do not throw your trash in the ocean as one of the main causes of death of molas is mistakenly eating plastic bags thinking they are jellyfish. Save these amazing and sometimes friendly fish and keep the ocean clean!
