1942 Racketeering Private Eye Crime Detective Suspense Film

In the Hollywood tradition of hard boiled cops and shady gangsters, X Marks the Spot is a rollercoaster of action and suspense. Set during World War II, rubber racketeers were wreaking havoc in California. When his father is insidiously gunned down, Private Eye Eddie Delaney (Damian O’Flynn) must confront the criminals and bring them to justice. Of course, Eddie could use the help of the sexy heroine Linda Ward (Helen Parrish). While in pursuit, Eddie and company fly through dangers and encounter familiar cinematic faces in well placed cameos. Neil Hamilton, who would later play Commission Gordon in the famous 1960s Batman series, makes an especially notable villainous performance. Fans of classic hard boiled detective stories will be enthralled by this early noir extravaganza!
