My Plan would All but rid our streets Of illegal drugs while costing the tax payer NOTHING! How would it work? Simple. If Bonnie Hourihan were forced to pay the bill for every person murdered in America between 2004 and 2005 her Tax bill would be $43,921,800. Keeping in mind the fact that this figure does not reflect the Tax revenues directly linked but not limited to the following.
Obituary ad fee, flowers, cards, Family/Friends travel expenses ie" Gas, airfare, hotel, food, Burial plot expenses.
What if victim did not expire at scene? Medical/ambulance expenses.
What about the addict who supports his/her habit by shop lifting prime cuts of meat etc who pays the cost at the register? YOU AND ME!
It is a known fact that often times in America if a Person is arrested for a violation such as selling illegal drugs the Federal government and local Law enforcement agency making the arrest will file a writ of forfeiture and seizure and upon successful conviction will seize all monies and/or properties and other valuables owned by the dealer and upon conviction will divide the assets acquired.
If there were a law offering just 50% of a suspected drug dealers net assets and worth to anyone coming forward with information resulting in the arrest and conviction of anyone dealing illegal drugs the results would in fact be a domino type effect that would start at the street level of the illegal drug trade and would not stop untill even the upper level dealers were in prison and broke.
