Netanyahu, Cabinet Pass Anti-Terror Measures

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu sought to impose tougher measures against terrorists late Monday night, in a late-night emergency Cabinet meeting held in light of an escalation in terror.
During the meeting, Netanyahu assigned Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked to establish a mechanism which would significantly shorten the legal process to allow the State of Israel to demolish terrorists' homes.
The Prime Minister ordered executive detention orders to be levied against rioters as well, and demanded stronger action against officials who incite violence - a demand possibly aimed at Arab MKs who have been actively promoting chaos.
In addition, he ordered charges to be brought against Israeli citizens who witnessed the stabbing attacks on Rabbi Nehemia Lavi and Aharon Banita-Bennett and his family on Saturday, and who beat and ridiculed Banita's wife as she lay wounded in the Old City streets.
