James Harriot Museum in Thirsk
We arrived at Thrisk Railway Station
NOTE; Thrisk Railway Station is about a mile outside of town.
The James Harriot Museum is about half a mile from the Market Place
It was a nice day so we walked past Thrisk Racecourse towards the Town Center
On the way as we approached the Town Center and James Harriot Museum we seen some other interesting sights

Site of Thirsk Castle
Probable motte and bailey castle, built sometime between circa 1092 and 1130 and destroyed in 1176.

Masonic Lodge in Thirsk started, it appears, with the sending out of a circular to known Masons in the area on February 9th 1871 inviting them to attend a meeting at the Golden Fleece Hotel to “consider the propriety of forming a Masonic Lodge in Thirsk.”
