Latin American Left Meets in Quito

Regional left-wing political forces are meeting in Quito, Ecuador for the 2nd edition of the Latin American Progressive Conference. About 3,000 delegates are expected to attend the event. In the opening session earlier today, Ecuadorean Vice President Jorge Glas told participants that the greatest challenge facing the left was to forge an intelligent, organized regional strategy.
