USA: Pope’s Message Gives Hope to Environmentalists

Environmental groups were heartened by the message Pope Francis delivered to the United States Congress and the United Nations General Assembly regarding the risks of environmental destruction. In Washington DC, environmentalists gathered outside the Federal Environmental Regulatory Commission to demand an end to fracking permits and reliance on fossil fuels.
