Maduro-Santos Meeting on Border Situation Set for Monday

Colombian Foreign Minister Maria Angela Holguín announced that President Juan Manuel Santos will meet Monday with his Venezuelan counterpart Nicolas Maduro in Ecuador. The two presidents, accompanied by the heads of state of Ecuador and Uruguay, will discuss the border crossing dispute between Venezuela and Colombia. Maduro ordered parts of the border closed due to smuggling, paramilitary activity, and drug trafficking. Santos praised recent Venezuelan measures that facilitated the holding of the meeting. teleSUR
