Polar bears typically do a fine job fending for themselves, but one in Kaktovik, Alaska recently needed a helping hand.
The 1,000 pound animal wound up trapped in a fishing net on Saturday. 
Of course, one can’t simply walk up to the fierce creature and untangle it, so residents and US agencies worked together to solve the problem.
