Colombia: Santos Continues to Seek International Support

Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos, in a further effort to garner international support in the border crisis with Venezuela, invited foreign diplomats to visit the Cucata zone so they could hear from Colombians who were deported. Santos said the Venezuelan government’s charges against mafias and smuggling operations may be true, but that he is mainly interested in acting against such forces that damage Colombia. His previous efforts to involve the OAS in the crisis failed. teleSUR
