00:00So I was 22 years old, pressing shirts in dry cleaners and decided that I wanted to
00:17become a different color in order to improve my act.
00:21And I figured that tattooing would be the only way to do it in order to not lose the
00:27color if I went swimming or anything, whatever.
00:31I'd never heard of anybody doing this before, knew nothing about it really, except that
00:38I'd had this one little tattoo on my arm right here.
00:42At the same time that I'd had the idea to be blue, I'd also come up with, I could also
00:47be plaid or paisley or whatever, you know.
00:51And I also thought of the puzzle piece design.
00:55And I talked to a few people and they said, well, if you're all blue, then it'd be like
00:58all kind of splotchy and stuff if, you know, different artists and, you know, different
01:03days.
01:04And so I said, well, what if I had a pattern, you see, such as puzzles?
01:09And they were, oh, yeah, well, you know, yeah, you could just do it that way, you know.
01:14And then I finally met up with Kat in the Tiger Lady at Lollapalooza in 92, summer of.
01:22And she had expressed her interest in becoming a tiger.
01:27And so I then sent her some money for equipment and plane ticket.
01:33And I had a month off in January of 93.
01:40And that's when we did all the lines.
